hey guys as you know, i have been looking for a alltrac or a swaped celica with a 3sgte, i have my other car in the garage almost done with a basic factory swap, i want a new project car so i have been posting some swap celica's with problems an no luck with those cause too many problems for the price, lucky i found this one on ebay in st,louis, about 10 minutes away from me, he has a 88 alltrac,92 alltrac and a 91 mr2, of course i like the 92 celica alltrac, it seems pretty clean, it has 101,xxx its going to need some new tires, the trunk is off line and there is a small bit of rust on the car. he has a reserve on the car, so i emailed him asking the price he wanted and he responded what ever you want to pay for it in the auction. i check the blue book value and the link is on the bottom. i really want a alltrac so let me know what you guys think of the car and whats it worth and burynd no need for your smart-ass comments in my threads.

Ahhhh!!! Car cancer! Well, go check em out if you live so close! They look pretty nice, but it seems a little sketchy that he has all those for sale...its like the dream team of cars for me. I'd almost go with the 88 over the 92. Go offer like 3k and see what he says.

If I had the money I'd be going after the 88 or 91 now that I think about it. The mr2 would be fun and I'd like to throw the 3sgte in it. Could probly get it cheap. The 88 just looks nice. Put a little more work into it and it'll look real nice. The older toyota styles are growing on me now aka ae86 and st165.

I'd go for it. I probably wouldn't go over 4k because of the work that still needs to be done, but

Why is the hatch out of line with the rest of the body from hitting a curb?

Other than that rust the car looks really clean. 101K miles also fairly low which is a nice plus. From those pics the leather looks like its in pretty good shape too, which can be a rare find. I wouldn't pay more than 3500 at the most, due to the rust/other minor issues that you mentioned.

this is important.

If the Hatch doesnt line up, there could be some serious frame issues.

Yea, I'd have a body shop look at the rear end. Looks like it was a solid hit if it torqued the whole ass end crooked. Look at the rear tire wear and see if it's wearing funny too.

thank you everybody for you comments, thanks for the help, i was thinking not to pay more then 3500 too. the hatch does seem weird how its out of line, i asked were he is at, he said he is 10 minutes away from me, still has not given me the address. still waiting to go check it out, and geebes you are right he is got a dream team going on a 88 and 92 alltrac and a 91 mr2, he has a ebay store with 6-7 pages of toyota parts. so waiting for reply to go check it out asap, will keep you guys updated, and will inspect the hell out of it. thanks guys

then get the ST165, Id much rather get the ST165 thats almost mint than to chance an ST185 with a potentialy damaged frame.

true.

Given those 3 cars if I wanted one to drive immediately I would go for the st1655.

if your looking for a long term project than the mr2 or the st185.
