best time of the night was ..
1/8: 10.7694
1/4: 16.8247
60ft: 2.4838

first time taking it to the track.

my mods:
paceshitter header, full 2.25 exhaust high flow cat.
took intake off ran it open for the runs.
let air outta front tires

i owned the kid in the civic... he ran a 18.24.. he said he missed a gear blah blah blah. he said he had a gsr swap. turned out to be ur average single cam. it was awesome seeing how pissed he was and how his girlies lost faith in him.

the se-r sentra owned me.. that was my best run (16.8247) and he ran a 15.66

are these good times for a celica gt? (mine is manual)

here's some vids.

so is that actually a good time for what my celica has done to it? or decent time? i want to know if my driving skill i ok. i spun them through 1st on my best run but she still gripped pretty good.

i dont know, if were to upgrade.. i would just get a new car like a turbo 240 (i used to own one :)) :wiggle:

Not bad times for a GT-S thats a few 10ths better than stock. If you had fun then it was all worth it. They hate it when you bring cars over 14 seconds to the tracks around here. Even the 12-13second cars get called slow lol.

A turbo 240 is fun but not the most reliable thing on the road.

do some free mods next time (weight reduction, coolant bypass, timing advance, use a shorter non A/C belt ..etc) and you can probably drop another 0.5 second out of it ...

not to shabby, my gt did a 9.8 in our short 1/8 so 10.7 is about right for the heavier gts, pull the rear seats and spare out for the next run. get the launch down and you could drop alot off.

I still went 15s with free mods in my 5th gen gts!

mine is not a gts tho lol...

about takin the intake off.. i dont really care...for the car she's rock solid and running it a couple runs down the track w/o it wont really matter imo..

if you were spinning tires at all then you need to work on your launch a little. figure out the highest rpm you can dump your clutch out of without spinning. on mine there is a fine line between a little chrip and spinning/bounce that works nicely.

Moved to "drag racing" lol

Makes me happy to know that I gained 3 seconds in the 1/4 after my swap, thats a good feeling :)

Im happy to announce that our stock 94 GT just pulled a whopping 17.98 on the 1/4.
Its a good thing we were just taking its figures before the ST205 conversion. :)
