I believe it's a non. I don't see why they'd make a 5sfe a non, but the newer ones an interference. Anymore, they're all non.

Break your timing belt?

Replace what?
It is a chain driven engine.
But it is an interference engine. (chain breaks, valve bents)

Looking for a celica or prelude

H22's are interference as well. Most Honda's are.

And, not to be a jackass, you've started 1/4th of the threads on this page of general discussion. That's usually a good indicator that you need to start searching more before hitting the new thread button.

5S-FEs are non-interference engines, but he asked about a 7th Gen. Celica GT which comes with the 1ZZ-FE. Which are interference engines.

The 1ZZ-FE does however come with a timing chain, which usually do not break suddenly. If you check the service manual there is a spec for chain deflection or slack, whatever you want to call it. Once its out of spec, then you would need to change it as a preventative measure.
