Would you do this to it for 11g's??
http://www.mr360kit.com/index.html

I think it would, it certainly looks clean and from the discussion on another board, it sounds like its a beginners kit. Not too hard to assemble.

It's beautiful, but I wouldn't buy it, I'd feel like a poser.

Nah, I'd be much happier spending the money on performance and handling mods.

Nah. It does look really good for what I was expecting, though.
But as Chris and Slider have already said, A. it's not a ferrari, so don't imitate it, and B. 11g's can be put to better use in the MRS.

No, personally I think the ferrari looks worse than the mr2s. But that's just me, i've never been a fan of supercar styling. Except maybe the Ford GT.

I kinda want an MR-S because of forza. The responsiveness of it is phenominal. Its the working man's elise

i like the new mr2, hopefully going to get one in the future, i have seen that kit last year it looks good, but its a poser, for the new mr2 they have alot of nice widebody kits, i would rather do that then throw a ferrari kit. cause its not original. but no doubt about it the kit looks good. but i would throw a APR wide body kit and throw a 2zz-ge swap on with that money instead of a ferrari kit with a 1zz-ge 140hp

Do that to a Fiero...not an MRS

Those MR2 look pretty good with a few mods. That 360 does look amazing, although you can't replicate the sound of a real 360. :(

I would do it if it came with something to back up the Ferrari name, its no fun when you have the Ferrari body but the engine of a pinto

nah, the point of modding our cars for some of us is to smoke the hell out of super cars not join the club.

Looks really good but i love the mrs the way it was. 11g's would have been enough to do over the suspension and upgrade the engine. Or maybe for you really hardcore modders, put a LT1 in the mrs. :hehe:

Everyones right, it looks good but 11 grand could be much better spent on an already good looking car.

Mr-s' come already sick looking, that is just a waste of money...i'm on the bandwagon...use 11k for other purposes...like 3sgte swaps into an mr-s!

I'm getting an MR2 spyder in the near future. I have a spare 2zz waiting for it. And no, I would not turn it into a Ferrari.

I'm not going to miss-shift again. So we don't have to worry about that now, do we? :thefinger

I've almost considered buying an Mr-s, granted, I didn't realize I could buy one for 200 dollars a month as opposed to the 90 dollars a month I'm spending right now on the 300zx. They seem like awesome little cars, and probably pretty damn reliable.

...what the...???? i didn't realize they made F360 kits for the ZZ30... they don't even LOOK similar in any way at all! unlike the Ferrari 355 kit for the SW20, which does look sort of similar in certain areas with the MR2 (more so witht he F348 than the F355, methinks, but.....)

whoah, just did a search and i guess they do an entire "conversion" to F355 now too (i was referring to the body kit (Erebuni one, if i recall...) only):

that's what fieros are for. that and making a nice bonfire. keep the MR2 an MR2.

No. no no no. What I would do if I had 11k to blow on our spyder..

Hard top.

Good set of struts/springs/sways/strut braces.

Different motor. Maybe 2zz, but I'm not too sure.. I'm really dissapointed in the 1zz so far. Check engine light has just popped on for the second time in the last few months. First one was an O2 sensor.. not sure on the second yet.. we'll see. But this right around 60k miles :ugh:

Then maybe a few tasteful asthetic mods like.. a nice spoiler. I forget what company made it, but a guy around here had a spoiler that fit around the tail lights and then went across. Fit the lines of the car, very sleek. Beautiful.

Don't get me wrong, it looks like a nice kit, just wouldn't spend that kind of money on it unless the above was all done and I couldn't figure out what to do with more money.

has anyone ever driven next to of behind a ferrari? i personaly havent behind any crazy new ones. old ones yes. but i live in a pretty rich area. there are a lot of vipers. ive driven next to or behind a few lambrigini gerlado's or how ever u spell it. and personaly. thier cocky ass drivers. but so would i if i knew i was that fast. but the point is, thier cocky as hell. and they rev thier fucking engines like every 10 seconds at a red light. and hearing thier engine like... makes me want to piss my pants. i can feel the damn ground shake..... NOW, imagine a poser mrs ferrari revving every 10 seconds. lol. sounds like garbage compared to a freaking v12.

If I had an MR-S, I probably would have got it because I wanted an MR-S. So there wouldn't really be a point for me to turn it into a ferrari look alike. If I had an MR-S and that kind of cash I would first make it handle as best I could then do a little engine work.

id buy it. wonder if it comes with the rims too? i would just buy a mr2 from the junkyard and give them the frame, thats all they really want. in the end it would cost me the same to do that then to just go buy a brand new mr2.

It's a little over the top, but most concepts are. Tone down the colors a bit and I'd rock it all day long.

you make a good point, find a salvaged mr2 with some banged up body panels and slap on the ferrari wannabe kit, it would be a great project car for someone.

But then it would still be an expensive looking car with no guarantee that it's safe. Convertibles are dangerous enough without having a compromised body. IDGAF what people want to argue about "straightening" a unibody. The amount of damage needed to total a car as new as the mr2 spyder that retains value the way it does is significant.
