You're not thinking about doing a 184-185 swap, are you?

Hey, if he is, then awesome. I know it was done to a 6th gen and supposedly it was very stable. If he does it, it'll be cool.

Conrad, thats awesome! Thanks a bunch.

yes, thinking about it. Those who know me, know that I do all of my research first, that way I can be prepared and design parts if I need them. I'm about to graduate college, I have a well paying job waiting for me, my parents said something about a grad gift (hoping/wishing/begging gods for a '97-2000 dodge 2500 with turbo diesel) so I will be able to keep the car down for a month or two. I'll keep you all posted on the research progress.

Why not just buy a Alltrac?
It's gonna cost at least as much.....

I think that's what he didn't want people to say. It's just one of those things that people want to prove. Maybe he has a bond with his car and doesn't want to sell it and get a new one. Or maybe he's just crazy and wants to spend a boatload of money :D

Either way, go for it man!

I have my reasons, but I'm going to keep them to my self.

I don't really have any pics handy, but I can tell you [from experience] the whole floorpan from the firewall back is different.
Also the sheetmetal inside from the rear strut towers back is different. And of course all the suspension, rearend, ect.
Gas tank is moved from under the rear seat to under the trunk.

Good luck with what ever you're planning.
