Old news and it will never be.
Here is the Supra that you will most likely see in '08.

Well, I guess we'll see once 2008 rolls around. Personally I wouldn't count on either showing up.

sweet ass wheels on that baby, who knows how it is going to come out as long as it comes out we will be happy cause toyota will finally have a sports car back on the market to compete with other company's sport models. anyway i doubt any of us are getting one anyway with that sitcker price. what it is about $45,000 i am guessing?

The only fault I see with the second one is that it looks almost identical to the 350z from the side.

350z looks better, the front end on that supra is hideous

Joey I like that one a lot better, I'm not a huge fan over it, but at least it doesnt practically kill the supra in the design aspect

The way things are going lately with manufacturers reinventing their money cars...I wouldn't expect much.

just stop.... it's false hope.

The concept will probly go public at SEMA or one of the Manufacturer shows. (where it looks like that photo was taken)

Maybe it's just me but "knocking the 350Z off it's pedestal" sounds like easy pickins' for the legacy of the supra. Don't get me wrong the Z is a roadster and a beautiful car but it's not a Fairlady. It doesn't carry the same ambiance as it's predecessors. The supra is supposed to be the budget supercar.

If it was up to me I would leave the supra where it is. I much rather have it go out in it's prime than come back and end up washed out. I don't care how many kids who can't afford one buy the magazines and say how "Hawt" that shit is. People need to let go of the past. Repetition is boring I could care less to see 8 more generations of supras that end up a little more castrated than the last until it gains stereotypes like the corvette.

How many other Toyotas do you think deserve a come back more than the supra?
Shit how about a new celica that doesn't TRY to look like the future of sport compacts. How about some base model Starlets? Good MPG, Cheap, Comfortable, nimble and easily adaptable to modification.

If any supercar from toyota's line up needs to come back it's the 2000GT. How about bringing us a New Alltrac family? I would love to see something like a TC Alltrac, even a 7th gen AT. People all the time talk about Function over Fashion as the argument to why we don't get the cars we want... but now a days it's just about Financing.

Well.. TECHNICALLY... 98's were left-over 97's.. so.. 97 was our last year... and they were all made in Japan anyway, but I know what you meant :hehe:

Along those lines, if they did start making a 2008 supra, it'd probably be in japan. They may move it to europe after that. But it'll die out before it ever gets to the states just like most things that are freaken cool. I figure it's the rest of the worlds way of getting back at us for all the wars we cause.
