steering wheel puller, then you use a long wrench (for leverage) so the bolt on it will properly push the steering wheel back on the hub. Thats about all unless the steering columns hub was different, just if you're dealing with air bags, which you will with the 04 for sure, then BE CAREFUL and disconnect the battery so you wont accidently set off the air bag

Keep in mind no one has rigged up the airbag to work again after you have the new wheel in. So for safety sake you might want to remove it or find a way to disable it.

well lets no forget that steering wheel and airbag is pretty expensive, about 375-475 for both. good luck on finding one, ebay.com sells the airbags for about 400 like this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/00-05-Toyota-Celica-driver-side-Airbag-Seatbelt_W0QQitemZ180132220059QQihZ008QQcategoryZ3 3719QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem or you can go with this awesome trd steering for 500 they come in blue/black/red http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOYOTA-TRD-STEERING-WHEEL-FOR-MR2-SUPRA-CELICA-RARE_W0QQitemZ270135032970QQihZ017QQcategoryZ33704 QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
but is it worth it for a old car. try www.newcelica.org to find a steering wheel

Scary part is that in some areas airbags are stolen more than car stereos. The return on an airbag is so much higher. I'd make sure before buying an airbag from anyone that it's legit.

If you have a factory air bag you could probably mount it in the new steering wheel, I dont know if the new harness is the same as the old ones. And as for the steering wheel fitting, it probably should, but I can't make any promises

a big +2 on that, airbags are really easy to steal, and you get a good amount for them. double check it like conrad said to see if its legit.

the steering wheel will fit with no problems, but i have no idea about wiring and making the new airbag work with factory 5th gen sensors.

well like I said, if he has a factory air bag he should be able to mount it in the new wheel

even with the battery disconected, the airbag will still go off, like wen u remove them u can through them on the ground and they will explode

Yeah airbags are no joke. The static shock from shifting in the seat is enough current to set the bag off if it can bridge the connections. NOT something you want to leave un-addressed

That's why they tell you to disconnect the battery for at least 10 minutes in the BGB.
As for putting the old airbag in the new wheel, it won't work. The center design is different. If you don't care about an airbag though, you can get an airbag replacement. It is basically a rubber piece that looks just like the original, but with no airbag inside.
