It's called an engine stand. You will find plenty on the internet.

Check out www.harborfreight.com . Their most inexpensive stand is $40. Their site also lists that they have a retail store in Minneapolis, MN.

how many pounds do i need to hold the engine tho? i mean this is going to be a engine that is going to be built up....how much does a 5sfe weigh usually?

EDIT: i just found a Pro-Lift T1085 ENGINE STAND 750LB. for $38 at advance auto parts....and there is one of those less than 30 miles from here.....

This is a forum dedicated to engine management, not for talk about engine stands.

A built up engine doesn't mean it will be heavier. If anything, it will mean it will be lighter. There is not way that a 5sfe will come close to weighing even 300 pounds.
