In my area theres someone selling a nice looking 1986 MR2. Dont know everything about it, but it runs and drives. Any apparent problems this year/model has? And it has a 4AGE engine in it. Is it any good? Im looking for something a little bit faster then my 5SFE. Price is around $2k. What do you think? Good second car?

...In a straight line, that is....

I would get it's condition thuroughly checked out. If everything looks decent and you like the car, go for it. Just remember that it is getting old and parts and mods might be tough to find...

yah what other way is there to go fast heh, you can go fast around bends in an mr2 if you dont mind smacking into a wall.... especially on a MKI

MK1 NA vs MK2 NA is about sixes.

MK1 is supposedly funner to drive due to the free revving nature of the engine tho.

Plus, the 4AGE is much more mod friendly than the 5sfe. Check out club4ag.com.

It is more fun to drive MKI NA compared to MKII... its all stroke ... all it does is just rev rev rev rev... its like a big ko kart.
