There is a wonderful Polish car club in Chicago called Autoklub Polski. They host autocross events year round, including winter. No matter what the weather is, the races are always on. Today they hosted another autocross at the Lake Geneva Raceway in Wisconsin. The track officials told them that the snow has now melted on the track, and the conditions might be slightly wet.
We all arrived there to find about 6-8 inches of snow and slush on the oval track. The organizers quickly redesigned the course to a rally-style course simlar to those found at ice autocross events, and moved everything over to the parking lot. Everyone staged at the oval and raced in the lot. It was a blast :cool: I love die-hard clubs like this.
I placed 5th overall in the Miata (I think it was 5th, not 100% sure) out of 30 or so drivers. That's not bad, considering the vast majority of cars there were AWD (WRX, Evo VIII, STI, etc).
