Whats wrong with it that you cant drive it, besides the fact that its being used as a shelf?

InitialD93
05-28-2007, 08:25 AM
needs more engine parts put on, like turbo, intercooler piping, wiring, fuel rail, etc... then axles and driveshaft, then fluids and hoses......

and before all of that... i need motivation and time to get it done:(

PhillyDRFT

Put on or purchased?

I can't see the engine so I can't guesstimate a time frame. Thats what comes with having a 17 year old sports car! Atleast you're one of the lucky ones with an all-trac so we can't feel too sorry for you. :lolhittin

I just noticed that in the other pics the cars are on concrete. I have to roll around in the dirt and pine straw. :( I can start putting the car back together once I finish the underbody.. but I hate getting under there.

as long as we're talkin about our cars running, well my grand prix isn't running right now...motors fine but something sprung a leak dealing with the tranny so since it's an auto theres no go. I would take the time to fix it but I dont have the funds or really want to worry about it right now, so I'm back to driving the ranger. I'd drive the celica if it weren't out in PA

The 300zx is down for a coolant leak involving the heater core. Not sure if its a hose or the core, its leaking into the passengers side floorboard, but we found pieces of hose down on the carpet. Damn Nissans, maybe I should of paid the extra 2200 for an 2.2l Mr2.

celicatrd93
05-30-2007, 05:46 AM
that is a sweet looking celica, i would hate for it to sit in the garage, my car is going in the garage soon itself, bad rod bearing, still runs like a champ, raced a 07 eclipse 2.4 two days ago, come on get that bad boy running, the poor all-trac wants to see the streets :hehe:

Well look at its age I mean come on, can't call that poor quality...however that kind of fix will....and I mean WILL suck, have fun ripping apart that dash! My grand prix had a coolant leak which was the pump, just figures I fixed it right before the tranny decided to spring a leak lol

True, I'm not blaming Nissan, hell, the Celica had the same problem awhile back. I'm hoping that if its a hose I won't have to tear too deep into the dash, because that'll be a good days work, which means less C&C3, BF2, or CS:S. I start work on Thursday, which is why I want the 300 up, so I can drive it on the 100 mile round trip commute.

Edit - While I won't bash on Nissans quality, I will admit, the 300zx has some nice seats, but the Celica is a better in my eyes, as far as handling and shifting goes. And while I would love some 300zx style seats in there, the other aspects of the Celicas interior seem better designed. But that's just me.

I dont doubt it, I'm not a real big fan of those gen 300's but the thing about it is it's an all out sports car where as the celica is more designed for every day purposes though it is sporty. But thats the main reason why the interior is kinda crap lol I knew a kid that had the next gen 300, fun car but the interior was kinda bleh

Alas, my GTS is officially finished and out of my garage as of last night. Was fun removing the excess rubber from the tires at midnight. It's been so long since I've driven that car that I forgot what it felt like!
