My dad found a 3SGE from one of his sources at work. It was just pulled from a running car. and low miles I think too. Is that a pretty decent motor or should I really concentrate on the 3SGTE instead?? A little guidance please!! :D

There's nothing all that special about the 3SGE... Higher compression than the 3SGTE makes it more difficult to turbocharge. If you are looking for a substantial power increase, stick to the 3SGTE.

Also you need to know what variant of 3SGE that the engine is. They can range from 130-210hp, depending on the model.

You're not going to be well off with just a motor. Whatever you swap in, especially if this is your first swap, should come in a clip! If you got this motor, you'd still have to source bunches of little parts and probably run an aftermarket EMS if the harness doesn't come with it or is cut.

You shouldn't have to worry about a clip for the 3sge. There are an abundence of them in junkyards and should be no problem to get parts for. As for the 3sgte......um, well good luck....get a clip. What generation of 3sge is it? Hopefully it's out of a lexus, beams baby!!!
