Remember those 18" Racing Hart multipiece CRs that I splashed out on a while back? The deal of the century?

Remember we discussed the old "clearing the calipers" thing?

Ah. Bugger.

Bugger bugger bugger bugger bugger.

And further more, bugger.

I tried 5mm shims. Not even close. I tried 10mm shims. No dice.

I can comprehensively say that 18x8 racing Hart CRs do not fit on a ST205. The brakes on this thing are stupidly big. This is only a bad thing when you have damn near 2 grand of wheels and tyres you're trying to fit.

Which is a shame, because they looked rather good. Flat spokes seem to be the problem.

Can anyone suggest a decent set of wheels that are strong, light and we know clear the brakes? And would suit a red ST205?

I'm about to open a beer.

Damn that sucks E. Putting on those shims, would it eventually lower the life of your wheel bearings? BTW those are some freakin huge brakes!

what about wheel spacers? That should solve your problems, i bought mine for $60 shipped priority. I had a similiar problem to yours, but now it's solved.

I would never run with more than a 5mm spacer.

Spacers and racetracks lead to dead hubs pretty fast.

Besides, this is me we're talking about here. It's not right. I'm not going to hack it together. I'll sell the rims on and try some others.

Anyone want some rims? Do you a good price....

Whats your definition of a good price E?

Will they fit a 5x114.5 mr2 lugset?

If the spacers are made by a good machinest and well known company that has made a name for themselves, i would say they're not a danger at all at a track and WILL NOT do shit to your hub. I have experience with wheel spacers and have never had a problem.

Luni - about 2000 bucks and no. In that order. 4x100 or 5x100 double drilled. And shipping would be a bitch.

I suspect if you spent the time and energy spacers could be made to work. They'd still alter the geometry and sit proud of the body work.

Why bother. Just buy some that fit.

I think I've sold them already.

Yup -they're sold. And they'll look fab on the new owners car......

Right. 18x8 Superleggras or 18x7.5 Kei Force 10's?
