i thought this was interesting...anybody on this forum try it with their seventh gens...? it only works apparently on stock intakes btw so for those who still have the stock ones....i was just wondering if this is wise to do or not, thanks :)

I think everyone that has a 7th gen has done this. It actually does make very small gains and it makes the intake sound more aggressive.

Took mine out on both of my 7th gens.

Just makes it sound meaner at low RPMs.

It does nothing measurable for power.

i remember someone once dyno'ed it to see it it really made a difference.

it came out to 0.3-0.5 hp gain

I tried it on my 7th gen before i cramed in that bloody aem cai. Now i kinda wish i would have stuck with the stock airbox cause cleaning that filter in the front fender SUCKS ASS

LOL, you cant even compare that difference on a dyno.

If it isnt 5 hp I dont wanna see it.

Simply because Ive seen 3-5hp baseline run differences with no change in mods.

Shit.. ya.. heat build up alone from the first run can make those difference, let alone .5hp or some shit. HA!

PS Luni check the clutch/tranny thread on your axle comment yo!

I've had my CAI on for over a year and I've never cleaned the filter. It's probably time, eh?
