Title says it all. Possible? Or will there be rubbing issues? Will be on stock suspension but only for a short period of time.

Tires are 215/40

Stock for sho. Otherwise, not sure. Is there any possibility to try it out first before you get them?

Well the rims are about 3 hours away..would have to be shipped or I could go pick em up if I wanted to..however they are for a car I have not yet purchased yet..so kinda just hoping for things to fall together nicely (so far so good)

Ermmm.... the new car isn't a narrowbody is it? I didn't think they made what you're getting in narrow...

If it's widebody, then it'll fit with no problems.

Narrow, it'll be close. Probably have to roll the fenders.

YAY!! I got an offset question right!

While you're in this thread slider... Could you give me opinions on two things?

17x7 rims. +40mm offset. Will these fit? Will they fit with 225 width tires in my narrowbody?

And what is the ideal offset for 8 inch wide wheels?

i believe +30 is the optimum offset for the 17x8 with a 25mm spacer in the back. this is on an alltrac though. alltrac=widebody. mine are 35+ 17x8 with 235 40 17

17x7 +40 will fit, good in the front, rear you'll need a spacer if you're looking for that flush look but it's not necessary. If you can I would even go with a 35 offset. Mine are 17x7 +45, so just picture that 5mm outward for +40 and 1cm outward for +35 (best pic I have showing how they sit http://img252.imageshack.us/img252/2456/img07444wc.jpg)

For 17x8 I would go with +40 for a narrowbody and a spacer in the rear, you probably can fit a +35 but you'll definitely need to roll the front fenders in that case.

I don't think it is gonna fit.

Chaos has 17x7 with 38mm offset. The tire is barely off of the strut front and rear. No rubbing, but very close clearances.

Using http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp it says you will have 13mm less clearance inside and extend 13mm out. That is gonna rub,
