You'd be hard pressed to find a spray paint that will do the job. I've tried many different hightemp paints on different parts and none of them have been road worthy. You'd need to take it off and have it professionally done for it to last any decent amount of time.

I had mine for about a year and i think its time to change muffler again but ill try to find a hightemp paint but it that doesnt work ill just switch it out to a vibrant muffler .

I spray my OEM muffler with Dollar General aluminum-colored spray paint every so often to keep it looking nice.

Bunch of my honda buddies have done this with no flaking or anything after a year.

I'll see exactly what they used when i get back and post up. :)

Ive used regular flat black Krylon on mine before and it held up great.

i have seen them done and they look like like crap. don't ruin the nice chrome finish but is your car do what you want with it. just make sure to use high temp paint so it doesn't chip in the future and look even worse.

isn't owning an ST stealth enough?

Use BBQ grille paint. It's resistant upto 1000 deg F*. The only reason it would have adhesion problems is if you didn't prep the surface rite, wash it with soap and water, hit it lightly with some sandpaper then wash it really well again before you paint. You'll never have to touch it again.
