Hi Rick,

Your scraper is ready -- no charge. I just need to know where to send it?

Kind regards,

Kevin

i emailed him back and asked why i was getting a free crank scraper because i never get free stuff and this is what he had to say:

Hi Ricky,

I was reading your thread and was a little put off by someone who called scrapers an industry scam. I saw that you weren't going to put one in because of money being tight -- I understand that. I figured it would be a nice thing for you and a way to show that I am not scamming anyone. ;-)

We will drop it off at your house.

Kind regards,

Kevin

if you were using the right oil or synthetic would it matter that much if you have a balanced rotating mass already?

maybe the fact that everyone gives you such a hard time compelled him to exhibit a random act of kindness.

of course, he may be an elderly man with a recipe for a gatorade mail bomb! :)

ben wth are you saying, hahah, the scraper removes the oil buildup on the crank making it lighter and able to spin with less rotational mass. Supposed hp gains! let us know rick I would like to have your opinion on how it performs.

Well, I guess he was aiming at me. Though I said "industry scam", I did not aim it at him directly. I just feel it is a joke for street cars to even bother with them. Crank scrappers are getting into parasitic loss, the kind of stuff you worry about when your power is pretty much maxed out and you're trying to scrap up every little bit of power possible. As far as hp gains go you'll never "notice" anything, this device is something that is used in conjunction with other tools to combat parasitic loss and it is the sum of many of these parts that actually brings about what little gains there are to be had.

On a lighter note, +1 for the guy, that's a nice thing to do for you.

Agreed it's a nice thing to do.

I half expected this thread to be about penis enlargement. He was given a few bumps for it to give a free one to someone else who is actually pushing the 3sgte. He even posted in the thread for you a few times rick. go back and check.
