They look like the stock convertible sideskirts with a funky little divit near the back wheels...

Speaking of which.... will the stock convertible side skirts fit on a non- convertible? How are they fastened on the vert?

04-18-2007, 05:54 AM
i never notice that converts. had sideskirts!?!?!

time to browse some more!

Yeah... i used to think it was just the post facelift verts that had them, but now that i look around some more, it seems they all do. If i knew how they fastened, and how viable it is, i would have already picked some up. They look good.

I like all the freakin pictures they have on the ebay page. If they had at least one decent one, that would be nice.

I have them. Got them from some kid in Poughkeepsie, NY. Had to drive 3 hours to get them and take the ugly back bumper, too... but I only paid $125 for them, so I wasn't complainging. This is an older picture, but here's the idea of how they look on the 5Gs...

oh, btw... they are off of the "hacker" style kit. Imho, the front fascia and the back bumper both look like crap, but the skirts are worth looking into...

I have been kicking around the idea of using the vert sideskirts myself. I think unless you use a lip with the sideskirts the front will be too high on a celica profile.

I agree... I'm customizing the zephyr lip to fit on my 92-93 style front fascia. I want something simple, clean, and effective... yet totally different in almost every aspect.

I think the Zephyr front lip looks rather nice. It isn't an option with a CS nose and a widebody. There is a decent lip for the CS nose but that leaves the rear.

I like the factory bodylines on the 5th gen. The 4th gen needs the ST165 body kit though. It presents a more square and uniform look.

what does the Zephyr front lip look like? never heard of it before

04-18-2007, 06:07 PM
It is an Erebuni kit that has been dubbed the Zephyr. Just as the Hacker Kit is also an Erebuni piece. You can find them on thier website.

to be honest don't even try, i tried it and it would not look good, i have a 93 celica and i wanted that lip, i tried to make it fit no way, also some guy i ment from england on the net tried it to and he messed it up. so i bought a 90-91 bumper from the junkyard for 25 bucks and then put it on, you still had to to some customize work to make it fit. but good luck with it.
