View Full Version : alltrac vs auto 350z

03-25-2007, 10:28 PM
we were bored last night in my little town of monroeville we had rode around to see if there was anything happening but there wasnt. we had been talking with a friend of ours (420 whp evo8) but i wasnt about to race him.(the cops wouldnt even race him and they were bored too) the evo left so we rode to taco bell and got some food and met up with 2 more of our friends. v8 trans am and auto 350z. we finished eating an decided to line up the alltrac and the Z. i was feeling reallllllly confident and i dont know why. so the roads were empty since there was a wedding earlier and everyone in the town was there i think. well we decided to go from a first gear roll, about 10mph, which was very bad for me since i was at 2k and wouldnt spool till 3k. i got owned from the start and it didnt get any better. we stopped at a gas station and i told him i couldnt hang from a roll. we decided then to go from a standing start. we lined up again and there was still noone on the road (strange) he counted down and i droped my clutch (and barked the tires) and had him through second gear (he didnt launch well) but as soon as i shifted to third he was gone again. we then decided to call it a night and go to my girlfriends house and drink around the pool. (we all got wasted and passed out in her pool house)

continue to mod the a/t

What mods you have on the alltrac so far?
How much boost you running?

03-26-2007, 07:45 AM
He isn't running a boost controller at all as far as I know. He has a front mount intercooler and aussie exhaust I think. Still on the CT26. Ben's All-Trac is sexay! Nice try on the 350z.. I ran one a while back when my All-Trac was running and the 350z got its feelings hurt :(

IMHO 350z is nice cars, but how "briliant" u most be to buy a auto version :) LOOL

she has an auto and doesnt like to race so a friend of mine drove and she rode shotgun. about 13psi on stock ct26. rc trans, 3 in exhaust, 2.5 ic piping, fmic. so im not even making the same hp and i know it has a better drivetrain loss. just wait till i get a gt3071 kit. hehehe

you totally forgot to mention that we got bitched at by that crazy bitch... hahahaha and the awesome take off... good fucking times...

hmm odd...cuz i raced my friend with a 6spd 07 350z from a 40mph roll and i stayed with him....he may of pulled like a foot or so, but couldnt get past my fender. I got 2in intercooler piping with a front mount, intake cone, 3in dp, 3 in exhaust, act clutch, and at 10psi

Being an alltrac, his car is probably heavier than yours.

me and my old roomie raced a auto 350z we punched the 02 gts one car ahead and she barely caught use at 100 mph from 10mph. we beat her by half a car. then she got pist and said lets go on the highway, then we got smoked about 1 to 2 cars. he was running exedy clutch, aem cai, hks exhaust system. now he has a power fc,BLITZ SUPERCHARGER and more.....

to be quite honest, 350z's arent all that powerful. The basic ones are 235hp and the highest end is 250hp. I drove an auto one and it was only alright, nothing spectacular, but I'm betting the manual is much better. I love 350z, but its kinda sad that the new altima is more powerful considering they are around 270hp now and yes they do MOVE

All 2003-2005 350z's are 285hp. Autos have a higher final drive and put slightly less power to the ground. 2003 6-speeds (The lightest of them all) run 13.8-14 second 1/4 miles, where a stock alltrac runs 15+ in the 1/4.

350z are not the fastest cars on the road but they are fun. Right now my 185 w/ st205 swap is about dead even with my 350. At least by but dyno. I will take it to the track this spring and find out exactly how close they are before I start turning up the boost.

I ran my stock 03 6speed at the track against a super charged auto and we stayed even until the top end. I think it would be even closer if I worked on my launch.

Yep.. 350z's are still annoying in the swap, comes down to if the z has mods, if so than it will most likely always be in the favor of the 350z over a celica. They are nice cars, I can honestly see why people like 350z's.

i beat a 350z in my mazda, fun race.

02-11-2008, 07:10 AM
good try though... mine cant beat a light modded scion tC...

02-11-2008, 11:34 PM
ive beaten a few stock ones in the leggy

last one i races held me off by a nose @ 120mph, it had intake and exaust and i know it was a manual, dunno whatelse it had

Get a 2007 V6 Camry and you'll beat the 350z every time in a quarter mile

Alltracs are heavy as sin you'll need a substantial amount of modding to compete as a drag car

keep in mind the 220 stock you got at the fly was a projected number from a NEW alltrac not the 17 year old 100k+ mile car that it is today... intake and exhaust mods are only going to get it close to the stock numbers it wont be special untill you lay some serious work into it.

and as for the auto 350z's, a friend of mine has one but as his daily his weekend car is a C5 Corvette Z06... the slushbox is because he hates shifting in traffic :P

meh....350's are no lightweight either, they're cows (meaning I agree with Letze). The newer ones are a better comparison for a swapped celi, the old ones just don't have enough power to their weight. A BPU 350 will almost always take a similarly modded alltrac though...unfortunately. All alltracs need a 20b or t3/t4 equivalent imho.

ive got a bigger turbo coming for the z's in my town....i might can even take the supercharged one down...

02-12-2008, 10:02 PM
stock alltrac<350z

Huh? The 2003-2004 were the lightest and fastest of the 350z. They also produce more tq than the new higher HP ones.

Or do you mean 300zx?

02-14-2008, 06:31 PM
I think he means the 90-96 300. Yeah the newer 300's are better than previous years, but the 350 is better for performance in 03-04.

This thread is pertaining to the 350Z.

Actually no, I was referring to the 350Z. I've run a few of them, one of them my buddy's and I know his was an older one...not sure on the year. He had intake and exhaust. The other one, I'm not sure what mods he had but definitely exhaust, and it was a newer one...had that bulge in the hood. He was quicker than the old 350. I don't know, maybe the new ones respond better to mods. I suppose it's hard to make a comparison without knowing what the newer one did to the car but aside from boost there's not much more he could do than my friend in the way of BPU's.

Aaaanyways: Alltrac FTL!

Annnnd then it starts snowing, and the 350 cries. :hehe:

Depends on the tires. Right now my Z have better season tires than my alltrac. My alltrac has summer only tires.

I've been with 2 350Zs on the highway and have taken both of them. Both were modified. The extent of which I'm not sure. First one actually put an "iceman" intake sticker on the side of the car, yuck. Second one had a body kit and what nots.

My father has one and I've had extensive experience with it and absolutely love it. It's a blast to drive and I would definitely buy one. q
