Min. thickness (according to oem) 4.953
New thickness 4.963-4.967

We can see that the difference is only .010, yet it has been proven that up to .040 can safely be removed(although raising compression) for a corrected min. thickness of 4.923. Hope this helps.

Yea, no problem. The oem min and new info was what I got from a few head shops when I looked into getting mine done.

its because i am probably gonig to put some sort of turbo setup on it since i got it taken apart now that the gasket blew between the first and second piston i got head work done to it the previous time and a set of custom cams now i got to figure out a way to lower the compression at least a little bit a guy told me that you can bore where the crank shaft sits and that will lower the stroke any ideas or thoughts on that one

Now you're talking over my head, I'm still learning all about turbos. Post your que about that in the F.I. forum and you'll get all the help you need!
