I am distraught... the clutch master cylinder is going out on the Celica... It is only a 10-15min repair but it will take a week or 2 to get the parts to me :( so i have to drive the baby car (Renault Clio 1.2 lit) for the time being... Well at least it pulls about 40mpg lol

Celica's parts ended up costing me about 40 shipped for the master and slave rebuild kits..

Everyone wish the Celica a speedy recovery!

I had to do both in my celica, not a 15 min job, but not hard either, just a P.I.T.A.

Should of got overnight parts from Japan, Dom could have hooked you up solid!!

No, it should be a quick one on the ST, the only thing to slow me down is the clip on the peddle side and the bolts holding it in. The rest of it is in open view. :)
When I did my 79 pick up i think it was less than 5 min :) and the additional 10 min was figuring out where the extra parts went... :hehe:
BTW, Dom who?

I haven't been able to drive my Celi for months now. Good luck on the speedy recovery. It must be a pain to have to wait that long for such a short job.

Heh, APO is so slow, but for the price difference in shipping well worth it.

Woot! Just filled up the Clio after driving it a while.... 45.5 MPG!!!!!!! :) the gas savings alone in the next 1-2 weeks will pay for the Celica's parts!

Woot! ROllin again! The work to pull both master and slave and reinstall took a total of 30min.. The problem with air in the master took an additional 1.5 hours... lol
I eventually had to pull the master again and prime it and it went back in fine.
Ended up with a bubble in the lines again and has to bleed it a second time. (actually caused the clutch to slip because it wouldn't release the fork all the way)

So learning tip for others... Bleed it , then bleed it again.. it will just make it that one little bit safer. :) Now back to my carputer project :)

Ok WTF? This thing keeps building pressure... I have had to bleed it 2 times today, otherwise it is keeping pressure on the fork causing my clutch to slip under load.... (we are not talking about a 200flb torque monster either... (4a-fe)

Anyone have any Ideas? I have checked the connection at the peddle and it still has the recommended free play..
