and swapping in the 3sgte. i thought about boosting the 5s but then decided to swap instead. with that said, i am going to be pulling the motor and parting it out. the motor only has 4,000 miles on it. the head will be sold fully assembled and will basicly be bolt on horespower. i'll post pics, specs, and price's in another thread.

nonetheless, the motor made the car fun to drive and i don't regret putting money into at all. i simply need more hp. i will pull the motor next weekend and in the meantime be looking for another. :D

good idea! with the money you had spent boosting your 5sfe with a decent turbo you could have spent it on the swap and it mite have just evened out money wise. stock 3sgte is still slow as balls though...

Well, im guessing its not slow as balls when your use to 135hp or even 103 :p
Shit, great choice IMO Hoke, will a write-up be in future? :wiggle: Good Luck.

yep they weigh ALOT more than a swapped 5th gen gt, i hosed my bud stock trac with my stock swap, hell i even beat vip09s 14.7 sec 2001 celica gts with its unbolted exhaust. It makes it alot of fun to drive. I recomend gettin an engine through jarcoinc, they are one of the best IMO

Yup, go Jarcoinc.com. Good decision, you can only build a 5S so far I think so you'd be better off with the 3SGTE as a base so you have lots to work from there.

Goodbye 5SFE!

yeah, i'm just ready to move on to a better motor. i love the motor i built, but the whole "spirited daily driver" thing is out the window for me now. i need another project to work on anyway. i went ahead and sold the GSX to a freind because i don't want to spend my money on an eclipse. it would have cost me more money than what i was willing to spend to fix it. plus the celica is better looking car to me.

Good call on both the engine and the eclispe. ;)
