Engine only has 10k miles on it. Bunch of stuff needs replacing though. Hood, headlight, trunk, fenders, bumper. $300. obo. Seriously considering it.

hmm..if it were my decision, i wouldn't take it.. considering you got an alltrac already, putting money into this cars rebuild = sweet parts that could be added to your alltrac instead

If you wanted a dirt cheap daily driver that gets good mileage. I'd take it for that.

There aren't really any parts you could use off of it for a parts car, but for $300 you won't find a more reliable car.

Just take into account how much it will cost to fix it before you think it is a steal.

i would buy it too. you'll likely spend 500-600 bucks in body parts if you can get them from the salvage yard.

Since this is a Daily to keep the miles off the Trac, I wouldnt even bother on repairing the Rad support. Just beat it back into shape and replace the headlight assm. and fender.

Yea, looks like theres some frame damage that you'll have to be dealing with. If you fixed up the front, i think it would still be a good deal for only 300 bucks, you cant go wrong, as long as its for a DD.

Hell, I wouldn't bother repairing any of it except what it needs to be legal and run.

300 bucks shouldnt be any question, you couldn't beat that for a daily driver :)

Just the motor is worth $300, yes? If anything, buy it to part out.

Uhh frame damage? Where?

Anyways if your not going for looks its a good deal, the clearcoat peeling on the top sucks.

I dont see any frame damage?

Shadowlife25

No actual frame damage to my knowledge. Girl said she locked up the brakes and slid into a rig. Guess that caused all that damage. I'm gonna talk to her probably today sometime and see if I can talk her down to $200. Trunk hinges and trunk lid are shot too. Gotta run to the wreckers to see how much it'll run me for parts, but they're local so it shouldn't be much hassle.

Yeah, I just want a dd to keep miles off my 'Trac. I hear that most guys with STs get around 24mpg? Should beat the hell out of my 14 :)

24MPG?

Uh, no.

I get between average out at 35 MPG between city and highway driving.

my 6gc gets around 35-40mpg.. depending on how I drive it.. just put a new tire on the car and drive it around as a commuter car.. it will be the most reliable car evaaar!

How do you know the engine has only 10K on it? Was it rebuilt?

Yep, I'm lookin for an ST myself. My GTS gets right around 30mpg. If you get that thing for 200 I think I might be a little jealous :thefinger

Whoa, no. No sir. Your Trans Am is not a 2.0 liter moving an all wheel drivetrain with a turbo. Put a 2.0 liter turbo engine and awdrivetrain in your Trans am and see what your gas mileage is with a few basic mods and spirited driving. Apples to oranges.

I'd buy it. It doesn't look THAT bad really. The engine, wheels, etc are all worth at least that. If you have the time and the balls to fix it up a little, go for it.

thats how my st looked in the front when i hit a corolla

i bought a whole front end minus 1 fender for 150 bucks

then painted the car and had the radiator support bolted on for 550 bucks, but that car needed paint anyway

I would buy that car for 300, and im picky about cars.

If you part it out you could make 1,000 if not more.

I get like 260 miles before i gota fill up again. I'm honestly not quite sure why, i should hit 300. But my gas light clicks on then i drive like 40 more miles.

Any tips on how to get more mpg besides the way you drive?

Maybe so, I got about 18 in the city in my stock 90AT though. Mildly modded MR2 was about 15-17, supra is about 11-15. Highway mileage is really only worth mentioning if you don't live and mostly drive in an urban area, IMO. Thing about the boosted cars is how you drive matters quite a bit too.
