View Full Version : Fuel filter/line woes

Just tried to replace my fuel filter per the posted way,,my 92 st now has a stripped bottom nut...and the fuel filter is still hanging on..thinking of just cutting the thing off and doing it another way, any suggestions...I will order the freaking hard line back to the tank if I have to....help asap~!!

I went out and bought crow's foot socket wrenches to get it off. Major PITA, I don't think I'd ever do it again with the engine in the car. Not worth the trouble if you ask me...

How do you even use crow's foot they look weird.

Its worth the trouble cuz it filters gas:-P

I used a crows foot...after the first rounding off by those stinking spanner wrenches...i have always hated those things. thanks for the input though

Can you give me a picture of how to use one of those? I need to do my fuel filter soon.

are you using a flare wrench? their contact area is bigger so they grip better. if you do have to cut it, rest assured that you aren't the only one. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v639/eggbeater59/IM001434.jpg
