View Full Version : Rain Guards for 5th gen. Ideas ?

Does anyone know of a place that we could get to re-create the rain guards for the 5th gen celica?
If so does anyone have a set that they would donate to the cause?
I honestly do not see why we should be subject to paying exhorbitant amounts of money to purchase them from overseas where shipping is going to be ridiculous on top of the fact that they will be USED anyhow, and potentially missing the clips and/or other hardware that are needed to secure them. :slap:
I feel that we would have NO PROBLEM getting a group buy together if this could be arranged.
Please post your thoughts and ideas on this.

Thanks in advance,
Mario

It won't let me buy it alone for that price, it's bundled with other products :(

Try adding the bundle to your shopping cart, then go to the cart and manually remove the other item. That worked for me. ;)

Thanks for the tip  , comes out to 79.09 including the shipping. Still on the edge about these, but I do like the idea of having my windows down a little when it rains without getting a face full of rain.

I just tried it and they're $68. You have to click "give me a deal" and they are near the bottom for $50

RHDJapan is a great company to deal with. I get most of my parts from them for my car.

For the people that ordered did you use surface shipping or EMS? Surface takes over a month supposedly. Don't know how long EMS takes.

I thought they only ship EMS to the states..
EMS usually takes 10-14 days at the most.

Surface for me took around 4-5 weeks. During that time, as I drove around in the rain with my windows open getting water in my car, all I could think about was how my stupid rain guards were still on a boat in the middle of the Pacific somewhere.

EMS isn't very much more expensive, and the site says it usually takes 3-7 days, so it's worth it imo.

Winter is coming up soon, but I'd be pretty pissed if after winter they didn't have them anymore. I think I'm gonna bite the bullet.

Your car is so purrty :D

I really do think they add just the right touch to the exterior. Should have come stock. Especially since otherwise the driver's entire left side gets soaked if the window is cracked open and it's raining :(

They do add a nice touch to the exterior though.
