I really dont know much about Celica transmissions. I run a paved track stocvk car with a 5sfe my question is, do the 5sfe and 3sge run different transmissions?
If so can anyone tell me their gear ratios in a five speed manual, particularly second and third

They run different trans.
What the gear ratios are depends on the trans.
There are quite a few available.

If you're able to tear them apart, there are different ratios available from the MR2, Alltrac, Camry, and Celica.

I have a working 3sge trans, from a fourth gen GTS and I'm running my stock trans from my 90 GTS. I'm looking to find which one has the taller third gear mostly. With the stock trans I'm topping out just a little too soon on the back stretch at our half mile track and I've taken it about as far as I can by changing tire sizes so I'm going to have to look at my transmission now.

I don't believe the internals of those 2 are compatible.
You could always tear it apart and count teeth. :D

While that always sounds like fun, I was actually thinking more along the lines of swapping them out if I thought the 3sge trans might be better suited to racing at this track. You wouldnt have any idea where I could find a listing of ratios for different transmissions would you? Even if it isnt a 3sge I may know where I can find a transmission from a 4afe. Or others for that matter.

i know a 4afe tranny wont work, look into a e153 that may have diff ratio
