DUDE! That's a steal!

What's the story on it.

asked manager about truck that had been sitting on backlot , he told me it needed alot of work and to go ask the dealersuper about it, he said i could have it but it didnt run, and it had sat for 8 years or so.

2 weeks later found there is a title for it, after that, went out and killed all the spiders and wasps that were living in it.

messed around with it later found it needed a fuel pup to run, went to go to the junkyard to get a alt plug for the gts, found a brand new fuel pump , cost me 5 bucks.

returned back to work, dumped some gas in the carb, runs now, and put air in all 4 tires.

fast foward, got laid off went upstairs singed for the title and registration, later that night drove it home, oh and i got a new battery for 10 bux and a used one for free

toyota p/u ftw. i have a 90 model and it makes a good wheelbarrow.

02-05-2007, 09:17 PM
That's a sweet deal.

My buddy had a Toyota truck, I forget the year...84 I think, and it was rusted to shit. Big rust holes along the sides, ran like a bag of shit.

He drove that thing maybe 3000 km before he totalled it.

So yeah, you got a deal. ^_^

Free? Nothing is better than Free. Nice find/take.

02-05-2007, 09:47 PM
Yeah, very nice. I'm selling a truck on Friday that's been sitting in the back of my store for months. It's not mine but the guy leaves all of his shit back there and we told him to have it gone months ago.

Should be about $100 from the nearest junk yard.

damm, $50 is nuts! you do know that a tailgate is better than the screen, right?

02-07-2007, 12:35 AM
u mean screen as in gator net?

that tail gate is rotted all the way though, i had to open the thing manualy, then the rods broke, so i dont dare shut it now.

got some wipers and tommarrow afternoon ill probally fix the oil leaks, i cleaned the outside, tomarrow ill do the interior, grind away the side rust.

ordered some 6x9 1.75 inch speaker spacers, i got so much room under the window cranks that i can mount 6x9s, i was gonna do 6.5s but seeing as i dont have an extended cab, i have verrrrrrry little room behind the seats, thats where the jack and tools have to go. so that mean no sub :( , ill just put a small amp to the 6x9s.

also i found out i can use mk3 supra wheels on the thing also i got a friend thats got a parts car so i may pick those up

Sweet find man. I never find crap like this around town. Even if I did I wouldn't have room to store it

02-08-2007, 07:12 PM
yeah this is the last thing i can bring home , i feel ya, but i do need a truck, i kinda been using the gts as one so yeah.

plus after i get the truck up and running i can take time to overhaul my engine, its still runnin good but its old, plus im gonna have to put a clutch in the gts before the end of the year, its starting to get a lil slippage to it from time to time.

yay factory 22re 4x4 clutch is a bolt in upgrade, thats not much outaa the bank either
