Just wondering what you guys use. Mothers? Or what?

Wax?

Tires?

I pretty much use black magic for the wheels and tires. I forget what I use for the cleaning and waxing because its been a while.

Armor all interior - original formula
That is horrible stuff -- it drys out your dash and causes it to crack! You need to upgrade to the Meguiars NXT or something.

wow Gary that looks amazing, id die to get ma 90 GT-S paint looking like that again, i have soo many swirls in ma clear coat and $hit it looks like ass....... What does everyone suggest i use? i think im gunna try a clay bar in the summer, althou ive never seen anthing like that around ma town *shrug* never even heard of it until i read it here ... But ya whats the best to remove clear coat swirls n scratches ? Thanx,

Gary

I know this is old but I'll answer it any way. Clay bar will not remove swirls. It only removes stuff/tiny debris that are on the surface. It makes the surface smoother. If you really want to reduce swirls, try 3M rubbing compound. Beware that it is pretty serious stuff. It will reduce the thickness of your paint/clear coat. Don't use that often!

BTW, thank for the compliments from everyone.. :)

You deserve them. That is a lot of work you have put into it. I still can't believe that is the original apint. Was it in fairly goo condition when you bought it or about average?

It was in OK condition with mildly swirl. The first time I washed/waxed it I spent like 6-7 hours (my whole Saturday) More than half of that went into surface preparation. Waxing and buffing only took like hour and a half by hand.

as far as wheel cleaners go, i have tried alot of top name brands, and none of them have worked as i would like....all the top brand names you have to spray on, and it says "spray to rinse" off...but thats not the case, i always end up having to go back to scrub off the brake dust myself...but the last wheel cleaner i bought, was the cheapest and a no name brand, and it works wonders...all you gotta do is spray it on the wheel and let it sit for 30secs - 1min, then rinse off with hose of course, and the brake dust and dirt and everything, actually comes off with out wiping one bit, and is always super shiny...i got it at advance auto parts and it comes in a black spray bottle and has a cheap looking label...try it out it works wonders....

Many spray-on + hose off wheel cleaners are acid based.
The less scrubbing it needs, the more acid they have.
There are non-acid base cleaners (like P21S and Sonus) that will require scrubbing.
However, it won't damage the wheel surface in the long run.
I basically use soapy water and scrubbing with sponge on my white wheels.
I wax my wheels quite often and brake dust usually come off easily.

Ya i agree...i guess im just lazy with it, my rims are apparently like chrome coated and the coat has been chipping off since i have gotten them and i plan on gettin new wheels this summer(black ones with the silver rim outline...i like the look on bright red cars, they look slick) so ya for now, laziness is the best way to go for me ha...
