i was wondering, are the 90-93 celica GTS the same as the alltrac? especially in the front? im in need of major unibody repair and i was wondering if using a celica gts as a parts car for it be ok because i will need two rear quarter panels from the gts too.

I'm pretty sure the quarter panels and all of the exterior sheet metal are the same. The floor pan and undercarriage is definitely different.

The firewall and complete floorpan [read front to back and all braces] are different.

Everything else is the same IIRC.

I have seen detailed pics of his damaged All-Trac, yes the main frame is bent BAD and both rails are bent BAD.

Mr. Shoak, the best way to do this is to buy a junked 90-93 GTS, then take out your entire drivetrain minus the rearend, take your now engineless All-Trac to a body shop and have it put on the frame machine and have them bend the main rails back along with the rails. Tell them you have a GTS parts car that they can use if it would make it easier.

That car unfortunatly will never be the same as before but you can make it close, but to do that you will need a frame machine.

I wish you good luck on your quest, but remember, in the long run it might be cheaper to buy another Trac than to fix this one.

thanks 2kSnakEater. i was wondering about the gts and the alltrac and see if they're interchangeable because right now, im taking auto collision at my school and all the work will be done by me and other students. i will indeed buy another alltrac during the restoration.another question, will it be better to take the engine out and fix the frame or leave it as is and straighten the frame up that way?also, this is indeed the cheapest way for me to fix it is to take it for a class project.

I would take the engine out, you will need to measure everything and then get factory measurements and the then straighten the car that way. Try to get it as close if not dead on as posible.

Poor car. Good luck, you might be just as well off looking for another alltrac though. What happened?

i will be looking for another alltrac, but, indeed,i will try to restore this one too. too much alltrac is never enough. probably one for track only and the other one, DD?
