I'm having a hard time coming up with the cash to rescue that 72 ST from the man.

If I could get enough people do donate even a dollar, I'd appreciate it.

This isn't a joke either.

I was going to pick it up today but I got my textbook bill from ND in the mail on Thursday.

The car is $850.

My textbooks are $981.27.

I have $97.00 in my bank account left.

I would love you all forever.

pater@mchsi.com is my paypal email.

You don't have to....I'm just trying to see if anyone would be willing to help out.

Hell....if you donated a dollar that would help.

Even .50

I'm afraid, being currently unemployed, I haven't got the money to spare (not even $.50, honestly. I had plain rice for lunch today.), but perhaps if you'ld be willing to pledge to donate back to ctech any money that is lent to you. In that way, our money will be going both to help save a classic Celica, and then later to support our community.

Can't help you til the 27th, bud. :(

But then i'll see what i can do if we can stall it.

Or if you really want to save it, i'll come out on the 27th and buy it myself. :P

I'm sorry, if it isn't something you NEED, you shouldn't ask for donations, that's my thoughts.

No you're right.

I'm just trying to rescue this car before he sells it to the junk yard.

Seriously

How much would a junk yard pay him, though? $50-100? Maybe see if you can make a down payment to get him to hold it...

That is why I haven't replied, and probably why most of the site hasn't. It is one thing to help you out if your car is dead, but another entirely to assist you in getting a new car.

Not that saving a classic Celica is not a noble effort..

where is the car located? ill guarentee if u post this on a bunch of sites someone would pick it up in a heartbeat

that woudl be a much better effort at saving it thenm asking for donations

if i was less then 200 miles from it i would pick it up right now

my advice, let it go. There will be other Celica's out there when your out of school. This is just a 70s Celica ST, not a GTO or a Hemi Cuda.

Well it's not as if it's just another GTO or Hemi 'Cuda... There aren't thousands of 50-somethings out there trying to relive their youth by restoring them...

There are enough Classic Celica fans around, if you want to save it post it up on one of those sites, I'm not a mod or else I would have deleted this post already (probably good thing I'm not a mod).

Dood, I personally would rather own a classic celica over any US stuff, EVERY body and there mother has or knows someone with a restored US muscle car. And they are very cool, but Saying its just "another classic celica" is a discrace and I absolutly dont agree with you. But then again its all opinions. sorry, for some reason i got really offended when i read this. enough rant.
