I just took my exhaust off from the mid flange back. It sounds awesome! Sounds like a subie at low revs and a little supra at high revs. I does pull just a little stronger too it really likes to rev a lot better too which is cool. And of course the real reason i took it off was to set off car alarms and scare people :evfinger:

^yep. If you wanted to sound like a supra, do a full 3" to a supra exhause. I forget what they use for a muffler but sounds awesome.

can you say "asphyxiation"?
I knew you could.

Is that why my brain doesn't work right after having my exhaust broken right before the cat for almost a year?

I just did mine and it just fell apart.

This is why I continue to tell myself that I'm done working with cars.

I had a coworker who removed his cat and everything behind it on his 5.0 Mustang. Over time, carbon built up all over the bottom of the car. Then it started on fire.

...except I don't recall him having sex with it...

Anyhow, the point was that it could happen to his celica, too.

If you want to scare people and set off alarms, you need to get a Supra, with a 1JZ, and run a Open Downpipe. I did that for awhile, thing seemed to be just about as loud as a Harley, it was insanley loud, and sounded nice to lol.

The guy I bought my '92 GT vert from sold his '04 Vette for an '06 because he'd ripped out the old exhaust sys on the '04 and was freaked out about possible (but never happened) emmisions testing here .....apparently the local Chevy dealer made him an offer he couldn't refuse.....I have to admit, it's a damn fine automobile, perhaps overpriced, but badassed, nonetheless

I donno how you could say a 4cyl with no exhaust sounds good...maybe im just weird but the only way Id run open exhaust is if I had more than 4 litres

I guess you would have to hear it to believe it, it sounds nothing like a honda like I thought it would. Anyway I took the exhaust off because it was leaking anyway and I'm putting it back together this week with new seals before I do get a ticket. It was fun while it lasted, and I don't have money for an exhaust or I would put one on (maybe I'll put somethin together down the road..who knows).

My last car was a Nissan 4 cyl. I had the exaust fall apart right off the block one day. That was loud, and not nice either.
