If we break off our bumper, zip tie it back on
If our light bar doesn't work, make it work
Keep us stocked with water
Remind us if our helmet is on the top of the car when leaving service
Come pick us up if we crash

etc etc.. ;)

So basically, no real automotive skill needed? Man... i may have to make it out to one of these in 2007. Sounds like a blast. :)

12-22-2006, 08:50 AM
Yep, no Automotive skill needed. Perfect for my n00b ass. w00t!

12-23-2006, 09:17 PM
So you on for the rally?

I have good news.. I have 2 more events lined up before the Doo Wops rally!
I'm co-driving for Dave Getchell (Last Ditch Racing) Maine's top rally team January 27th and February 10th. So I'll be hot and ready to go in washington.

12-24-2006, 03:33 AM
I want like lots and pics and videos if possible.

Last driving I saw of the Special K was the dumpster incident.

I want like lots and pics and videos if possible.

Last driving I saw of the Special K was the dumpster incident.

Go to my website, there's pictures of me driving. I have a TON of autocross pictures, a few rallycross pictures, and a few rally pictures from oregon.

That's me co-driving for Charles Buren at Mt. Hood
Once again co-driving.
And the photo in my sig is me driving too.

12-26-2006, 12:44 AM
I will also say tentatively yes, pending review of my schedule for winter quarter.

I live within an hour and a half of there, so housing shouldn't be much of a problem.

12-27-2006, 02:07 AM
Remember it's a 2 day event so housing is very convenient after a long day of racing. You won't want to drive 5 minutes, you'll want to go to sleep. I think we have 2 nights reserved for this reason.

12-28-2006, 12:45 AM
I just bought a very expensive safety device! My neck is worth more than $800!
Bad pict I know.. but I was really excited and took it without thinking twice.

12-28-2006, 07:11 PM
I'd sure love to help out, I used to rally on these same roads back in the 80's and it's been a while since I've been involved in the scene. However, life is being a bitch right now and all I can do is send my best wishes. Have a great event and try to keep the shiny side up!

12-30-2006, 09:08 PM
My Driver, Chris seems like a really level headed guy. I think we'll do very well. and above all else, we'll have a blast! rally people are so much fun.

01-04-2007, 08:20 PM
I just requested the time off. Ill let you guys know how it goes.

01-05-2007, 12:42 AM
I might be buying a new helmet for this event.... $460 is the cheapest for what I need.... yikes! just got off the phone with ma dealer

01-11-2007, 12:27 AM

01-11-2007, 12:30 AM
"Ill bet she gives great helmet"

HAHA sorry I couldnt resist. The whole helmet bit.

Love you K you know I do.

01-11-2007, 12:31 AM
I got the time off, now just need to figure if im driving or flying.

01-11-2007, 12:49 AM
I got the time off, now just need to figure if im driving or flying.

Well if you fly I'll come pick your ass up at the airport and if you drive will I'll see you down there.

01-11-2007, 01:01 AM
Bitch, if I drive, we will be rollin down there together.

Ill be getting there several days early, spend some time with the pops, drive up to your place, hang out with you, do the rally thing, then maybe hang out with you again monday, and then leave tuesday morning.

I dunno.

01-12-2007, 02:01 AM
Luni, I think it's best if you drive. That way you can come and go to your POPs as you please. Otherwise you'd have to rent. Blah

01-17-2007, 07:29 PM
I might be able to make it also. =D Hopefully!
...if so I'll bring some grungy threadz and a squeeegieeeeeeey!

01-18-2007, 04:46 AM
Lets drink Woodland out of beer.

01-18-2007, 05:15 AM
Why do you need our help with that, I'm sure you can do that on your own.

01-18-2007, 06:36 AM
Why do you need our help with that, I'm sure you can do that on your own.

alright? Sounds like fun? :ugh:

01-18-2007, 08:40 PM
HEHE drink Woodland out of beer.

Its full of a bunch of old ass logger alcoholics. I doubt we could LOL.

01-20-2007, 10:46 PM
Hate to break it to you but no beer or drugs allowed on-site. But plenty at the end of day party! :-D

01-20-2007, 11:26 PM
Hate to break it to you but no beer or drugs allowed on-site. But plenty at the end of day party! :-D

Car = Drug (we're screwed!)

01-21-2007, 01:25 AM
Well the phantom driver has finally shown his face. Please note the cheeky pict that I added on the beginning post. "Ka-Chow!!!" as Lightning McQueen says.

01-22-2007, 08:46 PM
K we were talking about where my pops lives. Woodland.

We will be drinking beer in Woodland with Sean I believe.

We understand no beer or drugs allowed on site.

They say anything about mine or Joels cigarettes, and youre screwed cause we will just leave :p

01-22-2007, 10:21 PM
naw cigarettes are very common at rallies - JUST KEEP IT AWAY FROM OUR GAS TANK! ;)

01-22-2007, 11:55 PM
:) K. Come on.

You know I love you enough not to blow you up :)

01-24-2007, 03:39 AM
WOOT! I will be coming!!! HOLLAA AAAAAAA HELLLZ YA BABY and only less than a week after spending a few days down in southern utah trekking through the wilderness.

01-29-2007, 02:59 AM
So how many people are going to be planning on staying at the motel with us? Like I said, I have 2 rooms reserved with 2 double bed. Some of yous guys are going to have to share a bed if we have too many people.

I was thinking we'd do crew shift and spectator shift so everyone will get a chance to see some action. I'll have hand outs with maps and times. Rally is pretty complicated. If you can't access the spectator area without through the course, you have to get there before they set up the workers and start the race. You also have to wait for all the cars to finish (and sweep vehicles) before you can leave the spectator area.

I'm going to keep an eye on the weather in that area.

01-29-2007, 09:03 PM
I'll probably bring my daypack and sleeping bag. So I can sleep on the floor.

01-29-2007, 11:14 PM
You know K I think me, borinal and Joel might get our own room. I dont do well with others. Speically people I dont really know.

So I got Joel looking into it.

I need specific info on where yours is going to be. Like the exact city in WA.

01-30-2007, 12:02 AM
w00t! Joel and I can share a bed... :hehe:

01-30-2007, 02:03 AM
luni you're staying with me, remember? I don't snore.

I want my crew together and there are no more rooms avail in the motel. I will check on a NEARby motel. and it must not be further than 2 miles.

01-30-2007, 04:01 AM
w00t! Joel and I can share a bed... :hehe:

Dude you got me hard just thinking about spooning with you! Tis going to be a great week. First the rally then fishing with Luni's Pops then up to my place for a few days of ghey butt sexors.

Its only looking its going to be Robb, Dave, Sean and I that is if Sean is going to stay overnight with us. Olympia is only an 1.5 hours away and I think Robb's dads place is about the same so if all else fails we will have a place to say.

Rob how would your Pops feel if we took the camper? That would be fun, a big ass Celica camper slumber party.

01-30-2007, 06:08 AM
Well, you guys could just crash at my place (in washington)? Hot tub, pool, xbox, and beer baby :) I MOST LIKELY wont be in vegas that weekend, but I'm supposed to be. Its probably a 50 50 chance at this point.

01-30-2007, 07:06 PM
How close to Olympia are you Sean?

Dad would let me take the camper and his truck Im sure.

01-30-2007, 08:22 PM
40 minutes

01-30-2007, 08:22 PM
more like 30 minutes :)

02-01-2007, 05:21 AM
I just skimmed this K. THats really cool. Congrats and I wish you the best with all of your races.

02-02-2007, 11:57 PM
seems like we have lots of options here. I think the camper is a brilliant idea. You can park it at the service station or the motel. Service station would be mondo better because you'd have a place to hang on the down time between service stops. (I hope we have a lot of service stops). Not to fix damage, but a chance to get a drink and settle down for a minute.

you guys should firm up your plans in the coming weeks. Everybody who is coming please PM me your cell phone numbers and I'll put together a little crew package with spectator info and maps.

edit for more:

Actually the camper would be perfect because i bet it's going to be pretty cold. Maybe even snowing. I don't know what the weather will be but I sure will be tracking it.

02-02-2007, 11:58 PM
I'm also really excited because since we've been registered for this event I have been able to attend a weekend rally school, a brisk rally, and perhaps next weekend another brisk rally.. so I am very practiced.

02-03-2007, 01:54 AM
You'll need all that practice to stay away from all those dumpsters.... :D

02-03-2007, 07:29 AM

02-03-2007, 08:06 PM
I'm not driving, Jeremy. There's a reason for that!

02-04-2007, 12:11 AM

It's all good.
You're a pretty good drive IMO.

02-04-2007, 03:25 AM
ok Luni, I got your message. I was watching a movie. I'm working on the Service crew packet right now. Just getting some directions and what time to be where. We do need to talk, though. Are you going to look for more motel rooms because there are more motels near the headquarters if you're interested. Just remember that we reserved 2 rooms already. I just want those used before others are reserved.

I'll call you tomorrow.

02-05-2007, 07:34 PM
Well my pops has that fifth wheel trailer, and his truck. I can get those, I just want to know where it is, whats around it, etc

And I dont mind paying for my own stuff if it means I dont have to sleep in the same room as a bunch of other people. If it was just you K, Id be ok with that, but I dont do well with people I dont really know. I snore and drool like most guys :p.

02-06-2007, 07:33 PM
So I can get the truck and the trailer. The truck isnt a 4WD but he says he thinks it could pull you out of some shit.

And I can take the Trailer, but its only worth taking if we can park it on site.

02-07-2007, 03:12 AM
Luni is all about parking 'on site' :pron:

02-09-2007, 12:45 AM
I'm sure you'd be able to part "on site" but the site keeps changing because it's rally.
I send you the Movement plan so you'll see each day there's 2 service stations. That's where you'd have to be parked. All I need from you is your registration and insurance info. I don't know if there's a limit on vehicles. I know that some of the services stations are a tight fit. I'm sure we'll manage.

Did you look over the movement plan?

02-09-2007, 01:46 AM
K your movement plan is missing maps of the actual rally road. It doesnt tell me much of anything.

02-21-2007, 02:55 AM
Well I already talked to you on the phone about this. Rally Roads are TOP SECRET. We're not allowed on the roads 90 days before and after the event. We cannot find out where they are until registration.

Chris is not bringing the trailer because he can fit everything into the car. Unfortunately now I need a ride back to the airport on Monday. Any offers??? :-D

02-21-2007, 03:02 AM
Um... I'll be there Friday and Saturday w/ Joel, Eric and Brian.

02-22-2007, 01:41 AM
I'll be there with Jamie and the Subie Gal team :)

subiegal.com fools

02-28-2007, 04:58 AM
Rally was fun. Thanks guys :)

02-28-2007, 05:28 AM
We've got some pictures up on OLG

02-28-2007, 11:13 PM
I just want to thank everyone who came out to the rally. It was a pretty miserable weekend with the rain and all but Rally is wonderful no matter what. It was pretty stressfull given it was Chris' first event and we had a few cancelled stages. The route book was like Choose Your Own Adventure only worse at at high speeds. "Driver's Bulletin 2: Due to the cancellation of the Crane Creek please use instructions 3-10 in your route book then take a right at next intersection then refer to page 30 instructions 37-50 then go 20 miles on the hwy then refer to..." on and on and on.

Anyway.. All was well. We had a pretty gnarley "OFF" with both rear wheels up in the air and nose stuffed in the muddy ditch but sweep got us out and we finished the race.

We came in 34/46. Rule number one: Finish. That's just what we did and Chris was able to drive his car home. NEXT TIME HE NEEDS A TRAILER. In rally it's a big thing to say "we finished our first rally." What comes next? Well the rally organizer said that most of the time newbies do well their first time, do better the second time, and by the third time they think they're a pro, stuff the car, and never come back to rally.

$$ weekend but well worth it.

03-01-2007, 08:37 AM
to all who went to the rally it was neat and it was woot and rally-k you were neat and you keep a cool head abt oh hows that bed burned arm p.o.p.s

03-03-2007, 08:52 PM
The bed burn is doing very well once Dave provided some medical help. Dayum Luni is a monster in bed!!!!! ;)

In retrospect even tho I was stressed a bit, it was a lot of fun. The two best things were 1- STAGES!!!! and 2- AWESOME FRIENDS!!!!!

POPs - I'm wearing the necklace you made me. I love it :-D

KoreanJoey- Your friend had some good pictures. Brian? Can you give him my email address? travelchute@yahoo.com
