If i ran autocross in the GT, i'd be getting me some Falken Azeni RT615s in 205/55-15.

Not too terribly priced, grippy as hell.

If you want something more aggressive, hope that KoreanJoey comes in here, he and Adrian are the men of the game. :)

Kumho V710 full racing tire. Switched mid season last year and will never go back. But otherwise yeah, Falken Azenis are great for ST class. Honestly the only real competition they have is the Yokohama Neovas but the Neovas are WAY more expensive.

thanks for the input
can't seem to find the azenis in 205-55r15
I found them in 50 series but not in 55

I'm thinking of running some V700 in 225-50zr15

Remember when you're autoXing you're not going to be looking at the speedo so honestly the stock size really doesn't matter, if anything I'd look into getting a smaller tire as they're easier to turn and will have the same effect as having a shorter gear ratio.

NOTE: "Easier to turn" as in quicker to accelerate

I am currently running the Falken Azenis.....great tires for the guy that drives his car to the even. I highly rate these tires.

I have in the past and will again use the Yoko advin tires....... I have some for my auto-x car out in the shed and can't remember much more about them right now other than they are a true "R" compound and do stick better than the Azeniz once warmed up.

I have had great luck getting very well priced tire from John Berget in WI.
In fact thats where I got my current Yoko's from. $200 shipped to my work with 75% thread on them. I would definately try him first

John Berget tires (262)740-0180

The only problem w/ the Advan R rated compounds is they're harder to warm up autoXing... they're more of a circuit tire than autoX. V710s for quick (and MASSIVE) grip... and crappy life...

I used to Run 205/40/17 Falken Betas. That tires was horrible.

For early season I will be running Marangoni Zeta Linea in 255/40/17.

If I burn them up, and have extra cash I will swithc to some rt615s for the rest of the year.

For a street tire Hankook Ventus Rs2 Z212 is a good choice also, grip is a little worse in the dry, they're better in the wet compared to the azenis, they also seem to last longer than the azenis.

I use Azenis but find out what tire/rim sizes you can run in your car class. it may bump you up to a modified. you have to run DOT in stock, sts, and sp classes.

Um... you have to run DOT in most classes unless you want to run in MOD classes. But remember the majority of the race tires you see are still DOT approved tires. For example the V700/V710s are all DOT approved as are the Hoosier racing slicks and wet radials.

Again, another tire that takes too long to warm up to temp for AutoXing. They're a great lap day tire and can work reasonably well as a summer performance tire (as they're hard to get warm under regular driving and don't really wear much when cold).

well i finally bought some Toyo RA1. Since i'm more into lapping than autoXing
they're 225/50r15 size

Ok, RA1s are good racing tires not autoXing tires. Autocrossing on cold RA1s can be somewhat scary... crap it's scary enough running on cold V710s...
