Hi.. it just snowed here... a problem happened on my 87 toyota w/ popups. I turn on the lights, and boom.. kills the whole car. The parking lights work o.k. so I was wondering where to start the investigation... are there any resources I could look at to fix this problem. Thanks! It is like the whole electrical system shorts out.. whammy! The headlights do NOT raise.. as soon as I try the lights.. whammo.. whole car electrical dies.

Check your battery terminals and connections.
Also have your battery tested.

If both are good, you might have a short in one of the light/motor circuts.
Or possibly one of the motors itself is bad.
Also check the linkages and motor connections.

Basically what is happening is your lights are draining all the available power in your electrical system.
