How do you guys think it would be possible to do that... there's one guy doing a home depot prototype ...but what do you think

Since I can't weld plastic...I'd make it out of aluminum. I guess a zero apperance all initial (not sure how long it'd last) function is to find a soft plastic pipe that you could compress into an oval, cut out the oem plastic piece and use a strong, flexible and temperature resistant adhesive and glue the two together. It would work...wouldn't be pretty...but I'd do it out of aluminum any day. :D

You get 2% power increase at 100mph. Nothing noticable at highway speed. Getting cool air will do more for you in the car.

Isnt your car FI anyway?

it is, and it's already 'cool' air

this is just more direct. Some guy replaced the cloth pipe with an aluminum pipe and he says he feels a difference...

but if i were to do anything at all i'd go direct to the spare blocked off port

this is cold air... it's free air from infront of the car, and it's away from the hot pavement...
