It will be allowed, we will have to wait and see what Luni and everyone decides though, I can enable it for you, but they are thinking of some things.

I will increase the size for you, we aren't really decided and set on a size limit yet. Just the dimensions of 80x80 seem to be an unwritten law.

Well, I have decided that I want more that I can achieve.

Ok, I will hold off.

Yep 80x80 is as big as I want to go.

And I dont want to have larger allowed sizes for admin/mods than regular users.

not like pixel x pixel, more like kb limit.

no I actually dont want more than x pixel by x pixel.

80x80 is a nice size to have allotted to a certain place on the board.

Makes developing shit for it easier and makes the sizing of pages and threads more uniform cause everyones avatar is the same width.

Oh you mean kb limit as in larger KB limit but still 80x80?

If so for admins and mods 100kb or so is fine, but I still dont want more than 80x80 for the avatars.

I really dont care about avatars too much, they are cool and an indivudiality and all that but not all that important in the grand scheme of the tech of the celica that we are trying to achieve here.

you missed it. I said not like that.

memory size, like if I want to have a multi frame 80x80 animated gif

100kb for avatars seems excessive to me. I still browse using a 56k when I'm at my dad's house, and I know a few other people not fortunate enough to live in an area that offers broadband internet that have to deal with the same. In all honesty, I'd prefer to keep the avatars under 10k, but that's probably going to make a few girls out there cry because they can't splash their color around. So lets figure another number out, but definitely not 100k ;)

I think there is a "do not load avatars" option you can use for when you only have access to a slow connection. Then click it off when you have access to high speed. I agree that folks need to limit their avatar file size, but in his day and age, dial up is the minority. I would hate to miss cool or funny avatars.
