I need to upgrade my suspension to coilovers - either JIC Magic or Tien - for a 1993 Celica GT Coupe (ST184) for road racing with SCCA and NASA HPDE events.

I was looking at the JIC Magic Coilovers SA-1 Part# ST183SA1 or Tein Super Street with Pillowball Uppermount Coilover Damper Kit Part# TEN-GST18-B1SS4 (2634).

I appreciate your recommendations. Thanks in advance, Mike :)

Either are "alright" choices... the fact of the matter is that as far as dampening they're fairly low and the same with the spring rates. Great for daily driving but not particularly great for road racing.

Of course it's a substantial improvement over stock.

Mike-

How much track experience do you have at this point? Tell us more about your car and your driving experience. Both bits of information will help us make a proper recommendation.
