yo guys, i heard this weekend from my mr2 buddy that you can hook up some 12v Light emmiting diodes to the knock and tvis wires and monitor the activation and knock sensor. Anybody got any links?

First off, its TVSV, not the TVIS system. Toyota Variable Switching Valve, versus the Toyota Variable Induction System.

Well, the VSV that controls the TVIS would be considered part of the TVIS system.....

The TVIS does look and will keep the butterfly valves closed if the VSV says so yes, but they are still, two completely different systems.

What, the TVIS and the TVIS VSV?
They are all part of the SAME system.
The VSV controls the TVIS....
From the ECU of course.

Now the T VSV [TURBO VSV] is completely unrelated.

LOL Please dont confuse the kid.

You know what he's getting at, I know what he's getting at. He's talking about the mod in which you place light en route to see when the T VSV is energized.

i did a basic write up on how i set mine up on 6gc. ill copy and past it in the FI forums. i figure it will make a good sticke .
