God fucking gay .... I never want to pull a turbo off of a mr2. Seriously took hours. How long does it usualy take someone else to take off of a ct26 on a swapped celica/alltrac?

yeah i bet that shit took forever on that mr2. On the swap, i just remove radiator and pull off whole turbo mani with dp

Just about an hour, but I've got it down to an art, already had to pull the damn thing 3 times.

on my trac I don't even take the radiator out, I can have it out a turbo swapped and have the car running again in less then 2 hours.

Only 3?
I don't even KNOW how many times I've done it....

But removing the rad makes it ALOT safer on the rad.
And easier. IMO

yes it would be sooo much easier on a fwd/alltrac 3sgte must be nice!

It's not. You will very easily screw up the rad while removing the dp if you aren't careful.

the rad is sooo easy to pull off, 2 bolts up top and the hoses. Easy as pie.

I would rather have to pull the rad off then take the cat off... mount.... go up on the lift down on the lift up and down 5x... then make sure the heat shield is off then try pulling the manifold off from the side of the car it just gets anoiying.

Yes.
In some ways, working on the engine is worse in a MR2.
This is one of them....
Though you should be able to leave the cat on, and pull it as one assy. Turbo/man/dp/cat/lines.

I don't feel bad for you.
I would rather do a turbo in a MR2 than a clutch in a Alltrac.
Which is what is lined up for me one of these days....

Yerp, took me less than half the time to do alltrac than MR2. Of course, I learned some things NOT to do with the MR2 that just made teh 'trac even easier. On the alltrac didn't take out anything but the turbo, manifold and DP, made easier by being an aussie DP.
