i was looking over the threads about how to read turbo compressor maps and also at the fuel limitations of the 3s-gte and got an idea. its like a boost controller but instead of monitoring the psi you would be able to tap into the lines of the maf sensor and activate the wastegate at certain cfm's. any thoughts on it?

No point...pressure is due to the restriction in flow. So if you want to restrict the flow, you need a large pressure drop. So you'd need an adjustable baffle that would make the system work really hard but not be able to put out more power.

Overall just control the pressure, let the cfm's do it's own thing. Controlling either ultimately controls the mass flow rate, pressure is easier to control than cfm.
