I recently bought on eBay the 1991 Toyota Factory Service manual for Autmatic Transmissions. It covers the A240L, A241L, A241E, A241H, and A243L.

I don't even know what half of those are, but I think our 5th gens use the A241E and A243L. And yeah, I realize that the majority of the people here drive manual transmissions, but if people need information from the book, I'd be willing to scan and convert this. It's really quite cool as it shows the entire disassembly and rebuild of each type of automatic transmission as well as troubleshooting, etc. Fascinating stuff, but then again I like taking things apart and putting them back together, so I'm a bit biased.

Anyway, it may come in handy if anyone's got an ailing Automatic and wants to see about rebuilding it without paying $2000 at a transmission shop. Either way, if anyone's interested, let me know and I'll get to scanning. Actually, I suppose I should procure a scanner first...
