I've seen that most you guys running 5sfte set ups have front mounts with the inlet and outlet at opposite ends. I had an interesting idea: If you ran an intercooler with the inlet and outlet at the same side of the intercooler (maybe a sidemount) you can cut down on the amount of piping you use. Also wouldn't it have a slightly higher power output if you used less piping?

nope, tried that... most front mounts the inlet and outlet comes out the front of the intercooler, making it almost impossible finding a place to mount it.

You can use a supra intercooler, which is what I had when I got the car. THey're not that pretty, but can be effective. They inlet and outlet's on the same side.
