I have a 1990 Celica GT with an oil leak. I replaced the valve cover gasket, the distributer seal the oil sending switch and the PCV hose. But it still leaks. The oil spots on the pavement are on the passenger side below the front of the engine. I am new to Toyota's, are they known to leak from a certain area. Any help or guidance would be appreciated before i replace things unnecessarily.

could be the oil pan gasket, front crank seal, or oil pump seal. more than likely it's the pan gasket but check along the bottom of the lower timing belt cover for oil too.

check the oil cooler and the oil filter, aftermarket oil filter tend to leak

Thanks for the input. I will check those things out tomorrow night. Hope it is the oil pan. It seems as if that would be the easiest one to fix.

OK i looked under the car tonight and the oil pan looks OK the leak seems to be higher up and on the firewall side of the engine. The timing belt only has 50,000Km's on it so i don't belive it needs changing, however i think i will take the cover off and reseal it. Any other suggestions while i have things off. Any kind of gasket sealer that you guys might recommend.
Thanks in advance

I dunno what you're talking about. I've had two 5s's and have never had a leak.

Actually when i first got it and had the oil changed by my friend it had a minor oil leak, don't know where. After that i brought it to jiffy lube and they gave me the high milege stuff. The leak never came back.
