I was wondering what 3sge's came out with 2 valve covers?

I had an 89 Celica GTS with 3sge and it had two valve covers. It kinda seemed part of the head design. Are there any 3sge without two valve covers?

What?

Um.
You mean 1 valve cover?
2 would mean a V engine.
No S series has ever been a V.
I don't think Toyota ever made a V4.....

The first gen has 2 covers one on each cam with a valley between them the second gen I know has one big cover for both cams, but i'm not sure about the rest

oh i see, the "valley" is where the spark plugs go.

The correct terminology when reffering to a SOHC or DOHC would be a 'cam cover.' But that would sound ghey. I have seen many four cylinder and straight sixes with the dual valve cover design. I can't recall the engines off hand...

i know my 87 3sge has two...i wish it only had one. all those screws are a pain in the ass especially the ones by the fuel rail.
I get to play the fun game of "bashin knuckles" and "using the almight stubby phillips"

Yeah, so there is only 1 valve cover on these engines.
Not 2.

It's a single piece.
Therfore ONE cover.......
