First one in '79. Best known varieties are the markII's and III's '82-'86.

Came with the 5MGE engine (2.8 litre - about 150hp), no?

I have a bunch of CelicaSupras around me. One's one of the earlier models and is in absolutly perfect condition.

Yeah. The start of the dubiously venerable MGE line :hehe: They should never have fully split the supra line from Celicas IMO, it should have remained the high-performance version of the Celica. I think it would have been much better for sales. A new semi-exotic should have been produced to fill the role the Supra took instead of dividing the Celica and Supra so harshly and ending up killing both lines because of it.

Which is another reason Haynes sucks.
The Celica Supra was only til 85 [not 86].
