I've been looking for a clean 90-93 all trac for some while now, and yesterday i stumbled accross this car on cars.com looking for something for my sister. I'm a little suspicious b/c the guy says he just moved to the UK with the car and it cannot be registered over there, so he plans on selling it back in the states. As well there is only 46k on the odometer and he's only asking 3500.

Does anyone have an unlimited carfax that i could get the carfax report on the car for starters?

Has anyone seen this car b4?

As well, does anyone have any idea how hard it is to bring a car into the US from the UK, and how much the shipping cost would be? This car is a USDM model, which is why the owner cannot register it there.

I am pretty sure that this is a known scam. If it isn't, then at least I know for sure that he has been trying to sell it for over 6 months, and if that is the case, it leads me back to... this is a scam.

$3500 is a steal for that car with the milage, I would look at the car and the US tittle and them make sure that the tittle vin matches the car Vin then once you have the Keys/tittle in hand and you have test drove it the money is exchanged. If the owner doesnt like that then walk, its a scam.

Ya i agree this is probably far too good to be true . . . but the problem mainly exists that the car is, at the moment across the atlantic ocean.

oh so the car isnt even in the US? tell him you want to see it in person then you will give him the money, right now it sounds like a 90% chance on scam.

Those pictures are from the eBay auction.
Look at the right lower corner of the pics.
There are still ebay "camera" logo there
The real car is 1993 alltrac with 46k miles.

Also, on the ebay account, he says nothing about moving or the car in UK....hmmm
