I believe it does work, and just for future reference the flapper type maf isn't a maf at all but an AFM (Air Flow Meter). MAF is a Mass Air Flow meter and a MAP is Manifold Actual Pressure sensor.

I double checked and at least the SAFC II supports the ST165, I would assume that the SAFC does also, you can check apexis site at www.apexi-usa.com

on the other hand there have been a lot of success stories with the smt6 and now with the smt7 there are a lot more options available. i don't have 1st hand experience "yet" but i heard they are very powerful piggybacks.

SAFC will work on your car. It simply changes the AFM voltage that the ECU sees. But be very careful, as you lean it out you will also be adding timing. This is because our ECU uses this signal to measure engine load, and thus derives fuel *and* timing from it.

Megaquirt works fine, as long as you know how to build it and are willing to play around with things a little more than the average person. :)
