Ive been reading alot and i understand the 3sfe stroke is 86mm, and the 5sfe is some 90. so if I where to bolt up a 5sfe crank to my original 3sfe rods would that make it a 5sfe and have the 130 hp and such? or does somthing else make the 5sfes stroke larger the piston size is little in diff i think. 3sfe=86 wide 5sfe =87ish wide.

any info would be awsome.

If you're going to do it, do the whole engine.
You'll need the complete engine for the extra power.

So iM sure, Just throwing in a 5sfe crank will NOT do anything? Mabe i could throw in low comp pistions and new fuel inj. and turbo it like a 5sfte thats what i wanna do. I was just seeing if that was the only diff between the 91 3sfe and a 90 5sfe

i agree, putting a 5sfe crank in a 3sfe wont accomplish a whole lot. also, putting low comp. pistons and injectors on that same setup would just be wasting your money. for the amount of money you would be spending on the crank, pistons, and injectors you could just buy a 5sfe motor and ecu and be done with it. you can get a 5s motor dirt cheap and the swap isn't that hard. plus it would give that 35hp + 40ft lbs. that you are probably looking for.

Don't you already have a 5sfe in your 1990 GT?

Well, turboing a 3SFE will give you more power than a stock 5SFE.
But I don't know how strong the 3SFE is internally.
If it is a strong as a 5SFE, I guess it would be worth a shot.
IF you already have a 3SFE engine.

If you would tell us EXACTLY what you are trying to do, we could better help you out....
