this may not be the correct area to post this.
I may be looking at purchasing a new Toyota shortly.....not sure yet.
Looking at bang for your buck, new 07 Camry fully decked out = approx. $45k Canadian.
278 hp, and all the other goodies!
That is a nice powertrain, the car gets 44mpg on the highway, 4mpg higher than my Dads 95 v6 LE that has 196 hp (or something like that), and then you have a good car that will last for a long time. I'm also looking at the Solara, but I'm not sure if or when a newer version of that will be coming out. Honestly I think they should get rid of the Solara and bring out something sportier.
Either way just wondering what you guys think of the new Camry? I would like to stay with Toyota because they have always done me good, unfortunately they don't have too many vehicles out there right now that excite me!

The new camrys look really nice, my uncle is getting one on saturday.

The SEs look especially nice with the blacked out mesh grill and the subtle body mods.

I've never heard of any Camry that will get 44mpg on the hwy...and my '93 V6 LE struggled to get 26mpg on the hwy, let alone 40...

That said, it's still a cool car. Much better looking than most Camrys.

Yea, even new camry is like.. 35 on the highway.. however on a flat road doing 55mph.. I could see 40mpg...

I mean jeez.. I got 39mpg outta my 89 corolla coupe w/ a swapped 7afe.. that was on hilly highway doing anywhere from 80-100mph the whole time.. I was super fricken surprised to say the least.

Yeah... according to my last long trip... i got just under 37mpg on a tank, including an hour stint of hovering around 100 up to 115mph.

New camry's are pimp. If you can't afford a lexus, the camry has the styling of one for sure. I'd buy one if I had money.

I know you are looking into a toyota but i honestly think right now the thing to buy is mazda. check out the mazda 6 speed.

:woot2: for the Mazdaspeed 6. I almost bought one, but then realized that we can't quite afford it (it was about 10k outta our price range). We settled on a 2005 Mazda 6s 5door 6sp tranny. :) Still a nice care (v6 engine). I haven't seen the new Camry's yet, but I honestly dont really like Yota's new cars all that much.
