Yeah paint it white with a nice blue pearl

I've pretty much done as much with the 4AFE as possible, besides raising compression. It DOES have a larger bore though. From experience, I'm telling you to not do engine mods and just make it look nice. Go for a swap when you can afford it :)

Personally I say paint it black. Or Baltic Blue from the MKIV Supra, I always loved that color.

i was thinkin about paintin her black with a green neon kit and a green or chrome muffler with a carbon fiber hood and then if i can find one, a carbon fiber trunk. what do you think about that?

01-11-2005, 06:57 PM
That's a big negative on the green muffler :P If you're going to change your muffler, go to an exhaust shop and have new piping fabricated too or it'll sound horrible. In addition, just go with a plain stainless steel muffler.

Neon kit is alright if you're about show. I'm personally not, so I have no interest in it. Just be careful not to break them by slamming your car too low.

CF hood, good move. I personally like them, although I'd rather have a CS hood. Make sure you use hood pins, or your investment is going to fly away and possibly take out your windshield too!

CF trunk- good luck finding one, and you'd be paying insane $ for it. Not really worth it, either. Especially on an ST.

Yeh, I've heard of someone getting a CF trunk made for a 5th gen and they shelled out $1200 to do so. It's an awesome idea but...(and I have a hatch, so just think how much it would cost to even *attempt* a CF hatch!).

i dont think that i want to pay that much for a CF trunk. tooooo much that i dont have. what does CS mean? i have new exhaust piping waitin to be put on with the little muffler that i have already. ill get some more pics of them when ever i get a chance. might be sometime before the weekend if not then it will be the weekend.

I agree.

CS is Carlos Sainz. The ST185 CS versions came with different hoods with a big vent in the middle as opposed to the scoop on a regular ST185 hood (like the one in Autobot's sig).

I'd love to have a cf trunk..but paint it the same color as my car....you guys know how heavy the hatches are???damn......try taking out the lift support and lift the hatch.....must atleast weight 30lbs...

fix your power wire routing please

01-14-2005, 05:06 PM
who said i was gonna get rid of my car. if/when i ever do ill just take all the stuff that i want and can back off. then either sell it all seperate or just keep what i take off and use it on my next car. i like that CS hood. it looks pretty good. i just finished up my two small neons under the dash last night. they look pretty good. i worry about fixing my power wire routing when ever i get some more time so that im not stranded with out a car. i dont really need that right now.

i think you should paint it pink with purple pokey dots and yellow strips...

i worry about fixing my power wire routing when ever i get some more time so that im not stranded with out a car

that wouldn't take that long to do...like maybe 10-15 minutes to make it look good? not to sound rude, but how would you be stranded w/o a car by fixing your power wire?

because i wouldnt have alot of time in one day to work on it. so i would have to spread it over a few days. i like to take my time with things so i take a while doin things. how would i do it for it only to take a few minutes?
